I graduated from Saint-Petersburg University, faculty of mathematics and mechanics, in 2007 with the specialist degree ("специалист"). Since then I worked for several industrial companies and taught in several universities such as Saint-Petersburg University, Saint-Petersburg Academic University, ITMO University, and Higher School of Economics.

I teach advanced databases (DBMS internals) and entry-level programming.

My primary research interests are in the database field: query engine design, query optimization, indexing, physical design. My interests also include software engineering, machine learning, and information retrieval.
